Hiking to the Yukon

Most Klondikers hiked from Alaska into the Yukon because it was cheaper and possible any time of the year. However, there were only two trails that went over the Coast Mountains into Canada. The White Pass was a 72-kilometre trail that was muddy and narrow. The Chilkoot was a steep 53-kilometre trail that was rocky in the summer and icy in the winter. Next
