Sailing to the Yukon

After in arriving Alaska, the Klondikers chose one of two methods to reach the Yukon. The easiest route was to sail to the mouth of the Yukon River and from there up to the city of Dawson and the Klondike Goldfields. Few Klondikers chose this route because it was very expensive. The voyage also took five weeks and was possible only during the summer when the Yukon River was not frozen. Next
