Some snowboarders like to travel to the backcountry. The backcountry is a wilderness area that is not part of a patrolled ski resort. These boarders must carry special safety equipment so they will not get buried in avalanches. Even though it can be dangerous, they enjoy sailing down the remote and beautiful mountain slopes.
