Canada is a major wheat producer, second only to the United States. Only 20 per cent of Canada’s wheat is used by Canadians. The rest is sold to other countries like China, Russia and Brazil. Rich farmland, and special varieties adapted for a cold climate, make Canada one of the world’s leading wheat producers.
